I have 5 PVE chars - all but my Assassian has 2 or 3 sets of 15k armor, I have all there Primary and 2ndary skills unlocked with Elite Caps now w/ my monk I am working on my 3rd 2ndary class skills... 1k aint bad at all kinda cheap if you ask me... I want all the skills so I have to work for it. We are not playing Welfare Wars this is Guildwars It is not a Government Run Game, Anet doesnt hand out Food Stamps, If I grind a zone with me and 4 henchies to get to next mission I make 2-3k on goods just selling to merchant. So All you haters stop Hate'n and drink some Kool-Aid!

Again, you're listing that you want 15k armor, you want your pve chars to pvp, you want this, you want that, but you're also a casual gamer?

A casual gamer will take collector's and 1.5k armor. A casual gamer will use a pvp char because it is infinitesmaly cheaper than a pve char.

I find that redoing some missions also nets alot of gold. Since some missions are practically stacked with bosses(Hello Thirsty River), and bosses drop alot of loot, just redoing some old missions is another way to get the gold you need.

There are plenty ways to get gold if you're a casual gamer. You just have to be more careful what you spend it on. Incidentally, I donate gold to my guild constantly because I can't figure any skills I would want to buy right now, I have all my chars outfitted in 1.5k armor, and my pvp chars have unlocked all the super-expensive stuff. Come on, it's not that hard.

Well, as it has been stated, you can farm gold a lot faster than faction.
Then lower the faction cost for skills.
The problem as I see is this: I need to unlock my skills. I like PvP more than PvE. Netting 1k faction, even in HA, needs 2 or 3 matches, each lasting ~5 minutes. While at farming, chest collecting, etc, you seem to do a lot more than 1k gold in ~15 minutes.

But Lebdan you also have to remember that you have to get the Skill Points to Buy the Skill so just cause I can make a Large ammount of money quick I still have to gride out the skill points on some of my chars that only have 500,000 to 600,000 xp my monk Is a 55hper so she has unlimited Skill points she is at about 6 mill xp

1K + 1 Skill point is nothing compared to 1,500 Faction, enough said.

1k/skill is definitely too much for those of us who can't spend our playtime farming.

Ok - question In real life do you not have to work to get money for your cool little toys? Unless you are still living with Mom and Dad (then you have all the time in the world to farm) but if you want all the toys in GW which is a RPG you have to do a little ROLE PLAYING - IE Farm, Sell Items, RUN People, BEG what ever - You dont need all the skill to play the game, DO some Research and read up on the Skills and get the ones you need to fulfill your roll, Most of the skills are Junk or Useable in rare cases that you can get away using another skill! A Casual Gamer cannot be a Profectionist!!! You don't have time to. But I would say if you only have 3 or 4 hours a week that is 16 hours a Month. SPEND 1 or 2 hours FARMING!!! Use the Info on Ways to Get Money Fast that are all over GWGURU The Faction Missions only take 30-45 mins to beat if that most I have Cleared in 20 mins or less!

Life Work = Money To Spend
RPG Work/Farm = Money To Spend

Guild Wars Not Welfare Wars

Exactly. You bought an RPG, so why don't you want to play one?

Somehow, these threads always turn so ridiculous.

While it's fairly tame in terms of lack of flaming, the casual gamer vs other arguments, the patronising attidudes here and there, and overall, the off-topicness that has managed to weasel its way in, warrant closure.

There're plenty of threads about the economy, about making the game more enjoyable for casual gamers, and more devout ones as well, and I just don't think this is going to turn out well if its left to simmer.

As a note, trolling other users is not allowed. Comments like 'waaaaaaaaaah' are unnecessary, and do nothing more than provoke flames.
